As spring draws near, something inside of us reacts to a triggered response to the coming season in several ways. There is Easter bonnet shopping, spring cleaning, or stepping out to enjoy the warmer weather, just because. But what if we stepped into spring daring to forgo the same-old-same-old in our relationships or careers? Even the best of sitcoms come to an end, so why spend another season in a poorly-written reality show?

	The pilot episode: something new

Like life in general, we anticipate a pilot episode when it airs on television, because it’s a break from the normal routine. However, new options aren’t always best choices for us. A new job or boyfriend both come with rules: do your due diligence, don’t jump in with both feet and take your time to learn all you can. Thankfully, we have the power to determine who receives a permanent spot in our lives. Deciding to make anything permanent should always involve taking proper measures to make sure it is a good fit for your life.

	The series: longevity

A television series can teach us about the pros and cons of longevity. The best part about longevity, like marriage and a stable job, is the reliability. We take comfort in knowing that we are somewhat secure. The worst part about longevity? We get comfortable in situations that are not necessarily good for us. You can choose to keep the good going by not taking it for granted, and you can choose to remove yourself from the bad, by moving on.

	The spin-off: your next move

The next level isn’t always a wise selection. A promotion with an employer who makes you unhappy isn’t a good idea. Neither is marrying a man who treats you and you children less than royalty. Do not move on with a situation if you are not happy. Moving into what society calls “better” isn’t always what will work for you. Be clear about what you want out of life, and take action.

Like a great satellite package, we are already blessed to have countless options, different channels. Where in the world is the remote? Ladies, will you change the channel in time for the upcoming season?

I Just Need Some Me Time

Now ‘Me Time’ is something I would encourage everyone to take. Whether it is an hour, a day or a weekend (wouldn’t that be ideal), you need to take time out for yourself. Time to read a book, listen to an entire cd (without interruption), and get pampered or whatever else comes to mind. The key is spending some quality time with you.

Some of my sister/friends know I am a big fan of me time. I don’t mind spending time with myself; perhaps it is because I am an only child. There are times when I hop in my car, drive to New York and just walk around with no destination in mind. I will window shop; people watch; and treat myself to a nice meal or perhaps a play. Then there are times when my ‘me time’ requires traveling to a destination that has blue water. For some reason being in a tranquil environment brings clarity to things that are somewhat foggy.

So, how do you get your ‘me time’? If you are a single parent, connect with other single parents. Trust me; they need a break just like you. When my son was younger I connected with another single mom. Every other weekend we would take one another’s child for the day or weekend. We were able to plan our ‘me time’ activities around each other’s schedule. I really believe it was one of our better ideas because then we never had to worry about a babysitter. In a nutshell, it was a win-win situation.

If finding someone to watch the children is a challenge, take a day off work. Don’t consider it a wasted vacation, sick or personal day. It is a day that you are investing in your sanity. While the children are in school, you have a minimum of 6 hours to soak in a bubble bath, walk in the park or go for a long ride or do whatever comes to mind. Heck, if you want to do absolutely nothing but chill on your couch in your pajamas (and enjoy a small cup of ice cream without a little person asking for a taste), that is exactly what you should do.

Ladies, you give your all. Every now and again you have to take a break and regroup. Then you are mentally and physically prepared to move forward and take on the next challenge that awaits you. Stop feeling that you don’t deserve or have time for YOU.

I will close with a quote from Susan Taylor, “We need quiet time to examine our lives honestly and openly . . . spending quiet time gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.”

	Be Inspired and Inspire Someone

Whenever someone hears the word “naked” it is human nature to think of nudity. However, the adjective “naked” not only refers to being physically nude but to also be cleared and unveiled in its true and natural form as an entire human being. The process to accomplish true unveiling of your entire soul and spirit is to try to be naked along the process, be extroverted and bring out the true you to other people around you. As we age, we endure more difficulties and barriers that somehow prevent us from showing who we really are as female individuals in this world. When we are little, the world seems as a very captivating and beautiful place to be, and by being naked past a certain age, the effect brings us back to our childhood memories, something that we can barely do if we do not unveil the true nature of ourselves.

Sometimes the older we get the more different we think of ourselves and the less we usually care about ourselves. Responsibilities, parenthood, studies, work or any other time-consuming yet productive activity creates a huge impact in our spirit that hides away that natural person that we hide within ourselves. That natural individual remains dormant for a period of time until you decide for yourself when to unveil it through the process of getting naked. Getting naked:

		Benefits your human spirit

		Enriches your life

		Generates positivity

Creates a clear path to your own happiness

A major obstacle in finding the true you can be based on what other people think or perceive you. It is important to not focus too much on what people think of you; people will always have opinions (good, bad, or indifferent). The key is to remember they are their opinions. Therefore, take what serves you a purpose and toss the rest in the garbage. Their opinions should not have any impact on your happiness.

Stop thinking about the past, take a deep breath and let go of everything that is hiding your true nature as an individual! Do not be afraid to get naked. Reconnect with that beautiful, peaceful and great individual within yourself. Find your inner peace, unveil the true you and create great results in your life linked to your own happiness. So I ask, are you afraid to get naked?

http://womenspeakersgalore.com/pt/Are-You-Afraid-To-Get-Naked/blog.htm

http://womenspeakersgalore.com/pt/Are-You-Afraid-To-Get-Naked/blog.htm

Your Thoughts Create Your Reality

To achieve success in any area of your life be inspired to think and speak it. How many times have you thought about something good, bad or indifferent and that thought transitioned into reality? What would happen if you start to claim everything your heart desires? You just may receive it!!

What do you believe is your reality? No matter how much you give of yourself, you never feel appreciated. You have been through some things and no one really understands. Well if they said you cannot do it, then it must be true. Your past has a grip on you that won’t seem to let go. If you truly believe the reality of these thoughts is holding you back, you are probably right. How can expect someone to want more for you if you do not want more for yourself?

Think about this: You have been unemployed for a while and after sending your resume to several companies you finally get a job interview. The position fits your background, has growth potential and most importantly provides you with benefits that will get you back on your feet. The day of the interview you are professionally dressed and fully prepared for every question that will probably be asked. But you left one thing at home . . . your confidence. As soon as the interview concluded, you walked out thinking, “I know I didn’t get that job.” Guess what? You are probably right because you mentally sabotaged yourself and your abilities. In addition, if you carried that negative thought out the door, more than likely you carried it in with you. What would have happened if you had claimed it as your job?

Negative thoughts can hold you back from realizing your potential and sometimes those thoughts include things others have said to you, past experiences and fear. Unfortunately, no matter what you do (good or bad) people will have an opinion. It is human nature. Recognize that those are their opinions and not yours. Don’t claim their thoughts or opinions; claim your own and make them positive.

The definition of past: having existed or taken place in a period before the present. Guess what? You cannot change the past, learn from it and move on. Easier said than done but if you are willing to put in the effort it can happen. On James Fortune’s Identity cd, there is a song that states, “The curse is broken. Your past is not who you are.” Ladies, you don’t live there anymore so do yourself a favor and stop visiting.

Why be fearful? You are stronger than any fear you are keeping in your pocket. Choose to gain more confidence than you know what to do with. As for fear, it is one of those words you should not claim. So write it down and scratch it out!

Now that you have gotten rid of your fear, let’s identify ways to transition your thoughts and fulfill your heart’s desires.

Dr. Deepak Chopra, Co-Founder of Chopra Center for Wellbeing (www.chopra.com) states in The Law of Detachment, “In detachment lies the wisdom of uncertainty . . . in the wisdom of uncertainty lies the freedom from our past, from the known, which is the prison of past conditioning.”

Be committed to making a transition. It is so easy to give up and throw in the towel at the first sight of trouble. But, anything worth having requires commitment and may challenge your every being. However, if you are seeking inner peace, you have to choose your starting point and want it for yourself.

Don’t get discouraged when things do not go as planned. Tomorrow is another day, consider it as a do over. (Just don’t have too many do overs.)

Dr. David Simon, Co-Founder of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing shares how to choose intentions that are right for you. To fulfill your hearts desires, draw up a contract between your physical body, your thought-generating mind, and your observing soul. It is important to get agreement from all three.

If your mind, body, and soul say “yes” to a choice and you move forward with that option, you are more likely to manifest the desired outcome. Similarly, when your mind, body, and soul send you signals that a particular choice is best avoided – and you heed that message – you are almost certain to avoid distress.

Sister Friends, this is the beginning of your journey towards obtaining inner peace; your journey towards allowing positive thoughts to create your reality. Change does not occur overnight but each day you can get a step closer. Take that first step by investing in you. The curse is broken and the woman of the past no longer exists.

Dictionary.com defines the verb neglect as “to pay no attention or too little attention to; disregard or slight; to be remiss in the care or treatment of; or to omit, through indifference or carelessness.” What we as humans know is that things that are neglected die, at least to some degree.

For example, when the lawn is neglected, it begins to die as evidenced by weed overgrowth and browning. When children are neglected, they begin to experience a form of death that can be seen in under-nourishing, bad hygiene, and maladaptive behaviors. When relationships are neglected, they experience a death as well.

Our most important relationship is the one we have with our Creator. This morning I once again found myself apologizing to God for neglecting our relationship, not because I don’t love him, but because I haven’t spent enough time nurturing our relationship.

Nurturing involves feeding and protecting. It requires discipline and persistence, especially if the thing being nurtured is resistant. In order to reap the most benefit from this relationship with Creator, I/we must pay attention to it, feed into it, and protect it from every distraction that wants to kill it.

In Jeremiah 1:1-12, God was getting Jeremiah’s cooperation to do what God created him to do. God proved Jeremiah could do it by showing him a tree branch (something small to test the waters) and confirmed that what He said would actually happen. He told Jeremiah that He decided what Jeremiah would be before he formed him in his mother’s womb.

I know God called me a professor of life to women. He knew what he wanted of me before I was flesh. It’s what I am, and there’s nothing I can do about it. I do what I am.

	You do what you are!

I keep seeing posts like this: When one door closes, another door opens. Says who? Sometimes I think it’s important to just marinate in the closed door, think about why it closed.

What did I need to learn from it?

			What was I saved from?

What more could I have done to get through that door?

What will I do next time to ensure progress through my open door?

<p data-ft="{"type":1}">
Sometimes that closed door is a good thing all by itself if we take the time to understand it and make necessary changes to capitalize on the next opportunity. Remember, Opportunity Chooses the Prepared!

I believe in intelligent design. How else can you explain the intricate detail of the human body, the human existence? It goes deeper than merely observing the physical body with all its systems, cells, organs, skin. We are intelligent, emotional, psychological beings who have the ability to reason, feel, and apply morals to our daily behaviors. Can you honest say that you believe it’s possible that all those functions and features can randomly come together or develop through mutations?

Here’s the deal. Knowing that there was some form of intelligence that created me and everything around me causes me to want to do/be the best I can. I want to take advantage of all that is me, all that is at my disposal, to create the best life for myself that I can. Knowing that I was created and not just happenstance makes me want to know the creator of my life so I can appropriate everything that was intended for me. There is so much more to this existence than we are allowing ourselves to experience, and it is the responsibility of each one of us to go after it. We can’t wait for someone else to make it happen for us, for someone else to change circumstances for us so we can be, do, or have more. It’s on us.

You were not a mistake by or a surprise to the One who created everything. You were on purpose, intentional. Whether there are parts of your physical, emotional, or psychological self that are not whole, or whether you are perfect in every part of you, your existence is for a reason. You’re not just here to suck wind and take up space! There is a life that was envisioned for you when you were being formed, and to experience it you need to connect with the intelligent designer. He knew when he was thinking of making a YOU what his intentions were for you, and it’s far greater than you can imagine. If you would like help getting connected and learning what that’s all about, contact us here at Turnaround Coaching. COMING SOON!!! “Hers to Treasure”…A Devotional and Journal written by the Devotional writers of Sisters In Christ. This inspirational book will have 100 Devotional plus 100 Journal spaces. It’s a keepsake and a must have.

The time has finally come my friends to update you on a few things that God has been doing in my life. First off let me tell you He is the giver to the desires of our hearts. Why? Because it is He that placed them there. At times I have thought He was crazy or that there was no way and here is the one we all have said ‘How’. How will God use me?

It only has been in the last few years that I have learned and accepted the truth about who I am and most of all Whose I am. That last part has changed everything for me. So here it is…………………………

As many of you know I was blessed when the doors opened for me to become the Director of City Church Clothes Closet. For a time I worked as a staff member of the Rachel House in Blue Springs, counseling young women in a crisis pregnancy. Then in 2010 I began to work at Heart of God Women’s Refuge later becoming the Assistant Director. God is not through yet folks, there is more. With God whatever we thought imagined or even spoke….. There is more.

After the time for the Refuge ended I asked God ‘What now? I love to help and encourage women so where are you going to send me now?’ Shortly after I asked this my husbands car broke down and I was left stranded at home. Honestly I was a bit shocked. How was to serve at home? Well yes I totally serve my family but they were gone all day. Not to long after the car broke I received a call from a dear friend. She said since she didn’t have internet she was not able to serve on a sites administration and had recommended me. Did I want to do it. Answer…. YES!! So, I received info on the site on Facebook called Sisters In Christ (Women’s Fellowship). WE talked, they loved me and I them and bam God moved and I became an administrator. It wasn’t long before they came to me and asked if I would like to write Devotionals and I said sure. I had NO idea on how but I do not like to miss out on God things just because I am afraid unsure or fill inadequate.

I know it is too late to make a long story short but here we go. When the idea was brought up to do a real devotional book was brought up my belly leaped. This now brings us to the point. The first week of December 2011 we are receiving our first set of books. I personally have written 15 devotions of the 100 available. Yes my dear friends you will see soon my name, praise Jesus, on the cover of the devotional book ‘HERS TO TREASURE’ written by the devotional writers of facebooks Sisters In Christ (Women’s Fellowship).

God is sending me and my family and let me tell you how humbling it is when you realize He chose you. His face smiles on you. His hand guides you.

I also this year started speaking at churches and events. Sharing my testimony (can be seen here in the about me tab) and the Forgiveness we need to share in our lives from our Father.

More info on the book and how to get this devotional is coming soon. Thank you and God bless!! Gods work is mind-blowing, I bow my life to His desire ~Tina Turner

	Hey Fam!

While listening to Tasha Cobbs’ “Confidence” I began to think on what it means to have confidence in someone or something. A person who lives without confidence will always fall short of their potential. They will always find themselves living beneath their privilege. When we do not believe that something is possible for us, we will not take the required steps to reach that goal. I wish to be mighty in God as a Psalmist so that people will be saved, healed, delivered and set free just listening to my ministry, but if I don’t believe it is possible, I will never take that vocal lesson or work my craft sufficiently to get to a place in God where I am saved, healed, delivered and set free…therefore it will never come out of me! A person may desire to succeed in business, but if they don’t believe they can, they will never take the steps required for success. They will be slothful, half-hearted and unmotivated. This will affect the way they do their work, their attitude, and will work to create the mediocrity that they are expecting. Seems the only time we rise above our actual level of confidence is when someone else encourages us, even prods and pushes us, ultimately showing us the way past our fears into success. Not everyone has this person in their lives. You are truly blessed if you do!

You may wish to live a holy life, but if you don’t believe it’s possible, if you have no confidence, you won’t seriously aim for the target. Your condition is limited by the belief that what God says is impossible when you think that way. God wants us to have faith in Him! Confidence is an important element of faith. When we have strong faith in God, we have a confidence to move out because we have come to know God, to know what He wants, and to know that He is with us to help us and work with us, especially when we have been obedient to His commands.

The world teaches those aspiring to success the value of self-confidence. It says, Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything! There is some truth to this, but it is not gospel truth, and sometimes it fails; therefore crushing your faith and causing you to back away from that challenge ever again!

The Bible however, does not tell us to believe in ourselves. It teaches us to believe in Christ, to have faith in God. Though man can and does achieve things in this world aided by self-confidence and a positive self-image, Jesus said to his disciples, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). In one sense this is absolutely true, since Christ is the Sustainer of the Universe, and upholds all things by His Word. But I believe the main thing He is saying is that apart from an intimate relationship with Him, where you draw on His life, you can do nothing that will last or have true value. What good is it for you if, have an ultimately positive SELF-image and SELF-confidence, you achieve a measure of worldly achievement but miss the destiny that Christ has for you? In the light of eternity, it won’t matter how rich or famous you were on earth. What will matter is how obedient you were to Christ’s calling for your life!

When it comes to the things of God, in following Jesus, self confidence will ultimately fail us. Peter was so sure of his loyalty to Jesus, of his courage, that he said on the night Jesus was betrayed, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be!” and “If I have to die with You, I will not deny you!” (Mark 14:29, 31). Peter was confident in himself, but when push came to shove, and Jesus was on trial, Peter denied three WHOLE times that he even knew Jesus at all. Peter then went out and wept bitterly, utterly ashamed of his failure. Self confidence will fail us where it counts most – in the integrity of our walk with God. God will allow things to come up which will shatter our self confidence, with the hope that we will learn to have confidence in GOD and not in ourselves. Prayerfully when these things come, you will see them as they are – NOT FAILURES, but opportunities to pick yourself up and put your confidence in the ONE TRUE VINE! In the words of Tasha Cobbs – “I’ve got confidence, sooooo much confidence….IN YOU!” Thanks Tasha, you put something on my mind today!

	~ Much Love!~

On behalf of Charlotte Immanuel Church of all Nations, we would like to cordially invite you to "Just Jesus" on Sunday June 12th 2011 at 5:00 pm. There will be several guest ministers on the program and we would be honored if you would be in attendance. Your presence is important. Invite a friend and a family member.
Our Theme for this one day conference is “Just Jesus” (The Four Gospels). Our sole focus is Jesus the Christ. The name of Jesus is so powerful; demons tremble at the name of Jesus, souls are saved, sick bodies are healed and the captive are set free.

This day is dedicated to Jesus. There is no other name that is higher than Jesus. We are in a high pursue of the Glory of God. We pray that you will graciously accept our invitation as we press in and go hard after God because apart from Christ we are nothing.

A family that prays together stays together. We are a movement and not a monument.

Please contact me to confirm if you are available on the above date or if you have any questions. I can be reached at (704) 763-9353 / (704) 632-0444.

Thank you in advance and we look forward to worshipping with you. God bless you!

Sincerely In Christ,
