Wherever I travel, in the US or internationally, there is great discussion about how the church and the marketplace are coming together to reach souls.  God told us in His Word that the nations would seek the church, but the big question is— Is the church ready?

As I talk with business people throughout the world, there seems to be some concerns they have in dealing with the church.  

• They want to see if the church is handling their affairs in a business-like manner.
• They are concerned about the integrity of the people who lead the churches.   
• The people they hire who claim to be Christians don’t act any 
  different from those who don’t believe.

THE CHALLENGE for the CHURCH

To overcome these obstacles the church must take a look at how they are functioning.  God has given us the greatest manual— the Bible- on how to lead and feed the believer.  It is the leaders that must stand up and take the responsibility and authority given to them by the Lord to direct and equip the believers!  The Body of Christ needs to then be educated in Godly principles so they can move in the purpose and authority the Lord has given them –doing everything as unto the Lord!  

LEADERSHIP
Leader = a person who is directing, commanding or guiding; the head of a group or activity.
Leadership = the position or guidance of a leader;the individual’s ability to lead
The leader is the model—what they do and say will affect their congregation.  Good leadership will bring multiplication.  Bad leadership brings division.   It is through proper training and
mentoring that good leaders arise.

God’s Spirit is pouring out His power upon followers of Jesus from all nations, all denominations and all affiliations.  We are not being refreshed, restored and renewed so we can reach some spiritual high, but because God is preparing us for this time of reaping the harvest of souls, transforming cities and governmental structures, releasing power and wealth into the hands of the righteous and revealing the Father in a way never before seen in the earth.  It’s time to move in His resurrection power.

 God is bringing favor upon the His Church, empowering us to enter the into fullness of His anointing and power.  Many of us believe a power shift is taking place in the heavenly realms which affects the earthly realm.  Things are being set in motion for the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our Lord and of Christ. 

 Jesus declared the power His Church will have.

Matthew 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

 What is the Church of Jesus Christ to be and stand for?  In Jane Hamon’s book “The Cyrus Decree” (pages 10-11), she eloquently told us:

¨  This Church will be a mighty Church, knowing how to do battle in order to press through every spiritual hindrance, in the earth realm or heavenly realm.

¨  This Church will be a soul-winning Church, successfully reaping the harvest and liberating souls for the Kingdom of God.

¨  This Church will be a powerful Church, healing the sick, raising the dead and casting out devils.

¨  This Church will be a compassionate Church, carrying the Good News of the gospel of the Kingdom, full of the love of Jesus for a hurting, dying world.

¨  This Church will be a wise Church, understanding God’s divine plans and strategies for building His kingdom.

¨  This Church will be a healthy Church, properly relating to the Fatherhood of God as well as to the “fathers and mothers” of faith He has connected us with.

¨   This Church will be a wealthy Church, uncovering and transferring the secret wealth that has been hidden deep within the world system to finance global harvest.   

Our purpose here on earth is to glorify God and to show Him to others.  (The Great Commandment and the Great Commission.)  We have been called to establish God’s Kingdom rule, with God’s Kingdom principles not only in our churches but in the world systems.  We are to be walking in His revelation knowledge and wisdom, drenched in His anointing, empowered through God’s holiness to rise up to release the captives and take Kingdom dominion.  We are to do it now, not sometime in the by and by.

 We have the spiritual weapons – prayer, praise and declaration to go forth in spiritual warfare to liberate the captives, deliver and heal.  We need to walk in boldness.  It is an attribute of a Holy Spirit filled life.  Are we willing and eager to face danger or adventure with a sense of confidence and fearlessness?   Confidence means with faith. This is not being arrogant which is feeling or showing self-importance or contempt or disregard of others; haughty; proud.

Walking in courage which is the ability to face fear and overcome it.  If we are willing to place our hand in God’s mighty hand, He will anoint us to do battle.  So we must trust in Him.  He gives us the empowerment to affect change.  We must each conquer our own individual areas of fear: fear of man, failure, success, responsibility, rejection, being taken advantage of, loss of security, devil, death, etc.

 Fear comes not from God.  It is a ploy from satan’s camp to stop us from going forward.  Fear comes from reliving the past or dreading, worrying about the future. 

Isaiah 41:10   Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

 II Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

 Our success comes from the Lord.  By following His laws and principles we win.  He has established and placed men and women right now throughout the earth to train, equip and raise up His mighty army.  He called these people before the earth was formed to hold these ministry gifts and are a gifting to the Church.

 So why are we not seeing and experiencing the true Church of Jesus here on earth?  It starts in the local bodies and God is calling for the changes there first to empower us to do what He has called each of us to do.  Ephesians 4:11-13 tells us of some men and women God has called before the world was formed to be the leaders to direct the Church in accomplishing His purpose.  It is time for the Body to recognize the true and real reason for these “fathers and mothers”, stop taking titles for recognition; put aside the egos and self-desires; overcome and defeat the spirit of offense to rise up high powered, low maintenance warriors for God’s Army.  Until the Church repents and turns back to God, wanting to live and establish His Kingdom on earth now, we will be a stumbling block to the world.

 If the local body isn’t functioning as listed above, the leadership needs to seek God, call upon those 5-fold called leaders to teach and lead and follow Jesus’ example here on earth.  In 1 Corinthians 12:28 Paul lists the true five-fold ministry gifts in order – the apostle is to go in and start the church, develop leaders; the prophet is to tell them what they are doing; the teacher is to explain everything to them.  Our goal has been to teach the true Word to bring forth the above listed attributes of the Church.

 As spiritual fathers and mothers take their places and begin to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, the Church will rise out of her stupor and come alive to establish God’s Kingdom principles and power in the earth.
