My Latest Ministry Project I am creating a long-term transitional housing program with life coaching as the primary ministry tool.
About Who I Am in Christ - Gifts/Talents God has called me a professor of life to women. That translates into 2 meanings: I teach life-giving information to and speak life into women. I have been a Christ follower most of my life, and I believe I am gifted to lead and teach in the kingdom.
I am a counselor by degree (MA Counseling, Spring Arbor University) and a life coach by training (International Institute of Coaching Studies) and experience. My whole life has been dedicated to helping others make sense of what's going on with themselves and their lives. From giving advice to grade school friends to helping peers make good choices in high school to helping single moms learn marketable job skills, to coaching women who are struggling with life, I have many years of coaching experience.
I provide life giving resources, life transforming presentations, life building coaching, and life empowering support to women who have been oppressed by abuse, inspiring them to be who they are, do what they are designed to do, and have what is theirs. I will help you emerge from the concrete of your current existence and breathe the fresh air of new life.
I am a certified life coach training instructor and official International Institute of Coaching Studies trainer. I have successfully coached individuals with business startup and incubation, career change, weight loss, and publishing. I have effectively coached small businesses with human resources development, organizational management, leadership, and strategic growth. I am focused on helping women maximize their strengths, leverage their time, and achieve their best lives.
The work I do involves writing, speaking, coaching, and training. My speaking experiences include Advanced Communicator Silver recognition by Toastmasters International, lunch and learn seminars, online and live workshops and training events, community educator and crisis intervention training for EVE, Inc., and workshop presenting for the Michigan Head Start Association and District 62 of Toastmasters International.
My speaking topics include:
• Healthy Relationships
• Dating Violence
• Crisis Intervention
• Suicide Awareness and Prevention
• Working with Victims of Domestic Violence
• Understanding Abuse
• Parenting Tactics
• Strategic Goal Setting
• Creating a Mission Statement of Purpose.
One of the biggest mistakes Christians make is assuming the title Christian makes people exempt from problems. The reality is that the devil ain't takin' no prisoners! He'll use whatever tactics he can to destroy a person's life, including other people and abuse. Help me reach women of the world and free them from the grip of abuse and tyranny.

Nurture versus Neglect |

Dictionary.com defines the verb neglect as “to pay no attention or too little attention to; disregard or slight; to be remiss in the care or treatment of; or to omit, through indifference or carelessness.” What we as humans know is that things that are neglected die, at least to some degree.
For example, when the lawn is neglected, it begins to die as evidenced by weed overgrowth and browning. When children are neglected, they begin to experience a form of death that can be seen in under-nourishing, bad hygiene, and maladaptive behaviors. When relationships are neglected, they experience a death as well.
Our most important relationship is the one we have with our Creator. This morning I once again found myself apologizing to God for neglecting our relationship, not because I don’t love him, but because I haven’t spent enough time nurturing our relationship.
Nurturing involves feeding and protecting. It requires discipline and persistence, especially if the thing being nurtured is resistant. In order to reap the most benefit from this relationship with Creator, I/we must pay attention to it, feed into it, and protect it from every distraction that wants to kill it.
