Feona Sharhran Huff is the Publisher & CEO of Solo Mommy Magazine, a monthly publication dedicated to empowering single moms with savvier ways to live a simpler life. Through her magazine, she also produces an Annual Mother’s Day Brunch & “You Go, Mom!” Awards Program, in which she honors 3 to 5 single moms for being the epitome of strength, tenacity, savviness, and fortitude.
After constantly observing the “hustle & flow” life that single moms oftentimes live – her included -- because they are the ones who must get things done, she was inspired to produce “The State of the Solo Mommy Address.” It’s a panel-led discussion that addresses six key issues that single moms face, including having a financial backup plan, raising a boy to be a man, balancing life and estate planning. She launched her first conference on October 22, 2011 in New York City. Her second conference will take place in her hometown of Norfolk, VA, in May 2012. Additionally, Feona facilitates parenting workshops that provide empowerment, resources and solutions, including “Can You Hear Me Now” © (communication between mom and child), “Mirror Mirror” © (self-esteem) and “Relax, Relate, Release – Right Now”© (balance).
Her blog, “Living the Solo Mommy Life” (www.livingthesolomommylife.blogspot.com) reveals Feona’s daily discoveries, learned lessons and tips on balancing life. It’s sometimes comical, sometimes tear-jerking and always empowering. She is the proud mommy of Clara Huff (Lady Clara) and Timothy Huff (Sir Isaac) – two talented tweens with their own businesses.
Beginning Thursday, January 19, 2012 (and EVERY Thursday thereafter), Feona will be a co-host on The 2hrmom Mommy Roundtable from 1 pm to 2 pm.
